Whalebone

Recommended for ages 6–12 years

Presented By: Lighthouse Theatre & Jens Altheimer

Can we save our stories when the robots arrive?
Step into the magical world of the Depository — a mysterious agency devoted to protecting human memories and stories.

When a rogue artificial intelligence threatens to erase everything, we treasure, a lone worker races against time. Armed with quirky contraptions and eccentric machines, he must outwit the technology and keep our stories alive. But will imagination and heart be enough?

Created and performed by Jens Altheimer, WHALEBONE is a visually dazzling theatre experience that blends humour, invention and warmth. Bursting with playful machines, clever physical comedy and a touch of circus, the show invites audiences into a fantastical world where technology and storytelling collide.

WHALEBONE sparks curiosity and thoughtful conversations about artificial intelligence, memory and what truly makes us human. It’s a joyful celebration of creativity, laughter and the enduring power of stories.

“WHALEBONE is a real imagination buzz from start to finish. A perfect show for everyone, no matter what age, to be introduced to wonder & imagination through theatre” Janice Haynes, Forge Theatre & Arts Hub Manager
